Once the cockroaches decide to make your home their boarding place, they are hard to get rid of. Starting from preying on your food items to damaging your books and gadgets, cockroaches can make your life extremely troublesome. Step 2 – Seal The Entry Points

During your inspection, you must have identified the entry points of the cockroaches. They mostly enter through drain pipes and vents. They hide themselves through any crack or leak area. You need to seal all such cracks and use convenient closure for vents and drain pipes that you can open when required. This step will prevent the entry of further cockroaches in your home.

Step 3 – Deny Them Supplies

Cockroaches can survive without food for a month, but they need water every week. Therefore, find all the water leaks in your house and seal them. Besides, do not allow any place to stay watery especially the hidden spots and corners for long. Moreover, when you cut the water supply to them, they will be interested in eating gel-based baits and get eliminated. Besides, do not clean with a too much watery mop to leave behind watery surfaces.

The kitchen is the best place for the cockroaches to get foods. If there are spillages or food crumbs, wash them instantly. Clean kitchen from corner to corner every day and after cooking, clean the stoves and cover the food items tightly or take them on another clean room. Moreover, take out your trashes every day as cockroaches love to prey on the leftovers.

Step 4 – Lay Cockroach Traps

There are various types of cockroach baits available some of which are childproof and pet-proof. You can mix them with attractive foods as well as use gel baits to get the cockroaches to eat them. They are most likely to bring the poison food to their nest for other to eat and die. Place these poison foods at the infestation sites you have identified in step 1. Also place them where the cockroaches visit mostly like under the sink, entry points, hidden spots, and corners.

Apart from these, there are cockroach sprays available to prevent the cockroaches from settling, and therefore, you can get rid of the cockroaches at the initial stages. However, there are more poisonous sprays available which you can spray directly on the cockroaches once you find their boarding place and it will kill them eventually.
